How to Change Theme

Notification Preferences

Configure how you receive notifications within the admin panel. These are personal preferences that only affect your account.

Panel Notifications

Toast Notifications

  • What it does: Shows popup notifications when new orders arrive or order status changes
  • When to enable: When you want immediate visual feedback about orders
  • Best for: Active order management during business hours

Audible Alerts (Kitchen Screen)

  • What it does: Plays a sound alert when new orders arrive on the kitchen display
  • When to enable: When running the kitchen display screen
  • Best for: Busy kitchens where visual notifications might be missed

Browser Notifications

  • What it does: Sends browser notifications when the admin panel tab is open
  • Requires: Notification permission from your browser
  • Permission status: Shows whether permission is granted, denied, or not yet requested

    1. Toggle on Browser Notifications
    2. Click “Request Permission” if prompted
    3. Allow notifications in your browser popup

Background Push Notifications

Receive notifications even when your browser is closed - ideal for staying informed about new orders.

  • What it does: Sends push notifications to your device even when you’re not viewing the admin panel
  • Browser support: Chrome, Firefox, Edge (not all browsers support this feature)
  • Subscription: You can subscribe or unsubscribe at any time
  • Status indicator: Shows whether you’re currently subscribed

How to Enable Push Notifications

  1. Go to Settings → My Account
  2. Scroll to Background Push Notifications (in the My Notifications section on the Notifications settings page)
  3. Click “Enable Push Notifications”
  4. Allow permission if prompted by your browser
  5. Status changes to “Subscribed”

Hints and Tips

Show Hints

  • On: Display contextual hints and tips as you navigate the admin panel
  • Off: Hide all hints for a cleaner interface

Reset All Hints

If you’ve dismissed hints but want to see them again:

  1. Go to Settings → My Account
  2. Open the Appearance & Hints section
  3. View dismissed hints count - shows how many hints you’ve dismissed
