Are there any commission or per-order fees?
We don't take commission on your orders.
When customers pay online, payments are processed via Stripe and include only Stripe's standard card processing fees.
There are no other per-order charges.
This keeps pricing transparent while allowing us to provide secure payments, fraud protection, and ongoing platform improvements.
How do payments work?
Payments go directly to your own Stripe account — we never hold your money.
Stripe charges their standard fees (for UK cards, typically 1.4% + 20p). You can also offer cash on collection or delivery if you prefer.
All fees are clearly visible in your Stripe dashboard.
Do I need technical skills to set this up?
No technical skills required.
TypeMenu is designed to be set up by anyone. Most businesses are live within 30–60 minutes, and we're happy to help if you need onboarding support.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes.
You can use a free TypeMenu subdomain, or connect your own custom domain (for example, order.yourrestaurant.com). Custom domains are included on our Professional plan.
What happens to my customer and order data?
Your data is always yours.
You can export customers, orders, and reports at any time. We never sell or share your data, and we're fully GDPR compliant.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. There are no contracts and no cancellation fees.
You can cancel directly from your dashboard. After cancellation, you'll still have time to export your data.
