Delivery Zones

Delivery Zones define where you deliver and how much to charge. You can create custom-shaped zones on a map, assign fees, and set tax rules. When a customer enters a delivery address, the system checks which zone it falls into and automatically applies the correct delivery fee.

Creating a Delivery Zone

  1. Go to Delivery Zones
  2. Click Create Zone

Fill out the following fields:

  • Location – Select the store this zone applies to
  • Zone Name – A label for internal use (e.g. “North of River”, “City Core”)
  • Delivery Fee – Fixed price added to the order total when this zone is matched
  • Tax Group (optional) – Select if the delivery fee is taxable

Drawing the Zone on the Map

  • Use the map to pan and zoom to the area you want to cover
  • Click to drop points and outline your delivery area
  • Close the shape by clicking the first point again
  • After closing, you can drag points to fine-tune the shape
  • Existing zones will appear with shaded overlays to help align boundaries

When ready, click Create Zone to save.

Editing Zones

To update a zone:

  • Select the zone from the list
  • Adjust the polygon shape by dragging points
  • Update the fee or tax group as needed
  • Click Save Changes

How It Works for Customers

When a customer selects delivery and enters their address:

  • The system uses geolocation to find their coordinates
  • It checks if the point is inside a delivery zone
  • If a match is found, the zone and fee are applied automatically to the cart
  • If no matching zone is found, the system offers collection instead, with a clear message

Notes

  • You can create multiple zones per location
  • Make sure your zones cover your actual delivery range based on travel time or distance
  • Delivery Zones are location-specific and do not carry over between different stores
