Locations
Each business on TypeMenu can manage one or more physical or virtual locations. These represent your active storefronts and control things like ordering hours, address details, and fulfilment methods.
Basic Information
This is where you name your location and control core settings.
- Name – Displayed to customers on the storefront (e.g. “Main Restaurant” or “Central Kitchen”)
- Timezone – This affects order timestamps, opening hours, and scheduling
- Location Image – Optional. Upload a banner image or photo for visual branding
Settings Toggles
- Accept Collection – Allows customers to place collection orders
- Accept Delivery – Allows customers to choose delivery
- Active – Controls whether this location is live and available for orders
Address & Contact
Provide the full address and contact details for your location. This is especially important if you offer delivery, so delivery zones and driver directions work correctly. We will geo-locate your latitute and longitute from this address so that when you edit delivery zones the map will default to your location.
Required fields:
- Address Line 1
- City
- Postal Code
- Email Address (used for order notifications)
Optional fields:
- Address Line 2
- State / County
- Country
- Phone Number (shown to customers if needed)
Opening Hours
Set the days and times your location is open for orders.
To add opening hours:
- Select a day of the week
- Set the open and close times in 24-hour format (e.g. 16:00 to 23:30)
- Click Add to days and hours
You can repeat this step for each trading day.
Tips
- A location must be marked as Active to appear on the storefront
- If delivery or collection are disabled, those options will be hidden during checkout
- Make sure your timezone and opening hours match your intended operating region
- Contact details (especially email) should be up-to-date to avoid missing notifications
