Facebook Pixel

Facebook Pixel is a small tracking script provided by Meta that allows you to measure the effectiveness of your Facebook and Instagram advertising campaigns. It tracks user behaviour on your storefront like page visits, product views, and order completions, and sends that data back to Meta’s ad platform for analysis and optimisation.

Once installed, the Facebook Pixel helps you understand what happens after someone clicks on your ad. You’ll be able to retarget website visitors, build custom audiences, and optimise ad delivery for conversions like orders or menu views.

Getting Started

If you don’t already have a Facebook Pixel, you can create one by going to the Events Manager section of your Meta Business Suite. From there, you’ll be guided through setting up a Pixel and getting your Pixel ID, which is all you need to integrate with TypeMenu.

What the Facebook Pixel Provides

  • Ad performance tracking – See which ads drive visits and sales
  • Audience building – Create Custom Audiences from visitors to your storefront
  • Conversion tracking – Optimise ad delivery for real customer actions (e.g. orders)
  • Retargeting – Re-engage users who viewed a product but didn’t complete an order
  • Cross-platform insight – Connect performance data across Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger

With the Facebook Pixel installed, your ads become smarter, your targeting more precise, and your marketing budget more efficient.
